Singlemode fibers
Singlemode fibers for 1300 and 1550 nm are readily available at low cost due to the huge demand from the telecom and datacom markets.We manufacture a range of singlemode fibers from 400 nm to 2 µm.
We also can make this fiber with a variety of coatings for example polyimide coatings for temperatures up to 300°C and metal-coated fibers for higher temperatures up to 700°C.
We also make radiation resistant singlemode fibers with pure silica cores in a variety of wavelengths. High N.A. versions are available which give reduced bend losses and are particularly useful for small bend radius applications.
